Read-Aloud Tuesday

This week’s read-aloud Tuesday was a bit different, as we celebrated H’s birthday circle today.  With less time to read and share stories, I had to choose just one to read while the students ate the birthday treat (chocolate-dipped pretzel rods).  This one was a favorite during our recent Spring Break, and it fit the special occasion perfectly.

The piglet, best known from My Lucky Day, is back and better than ever!  This time, Al the Alligator is preparing to have a great birthday when Piglet shows up on his front porch.  Seizing opportunity, Al bags the piglet and starts preparing a pig dinner…until Piglet’s clever ideas of how to have a truly awesome party create an ingenious ending.  Fun and fresh, here’s one creative birthday story you won’t grow tired of repeatedly reading.  Share with ages 3+.
