Read-Aloud Tuesday: Dec 17, 2013

Wow!  With the holiday craziness, I totally missed posting this.  As the adage goes, better late than never!

Each Tuesday, I read stories to my boy H’s Montessori classroom.  In classic librarian form, I research and choose books I think they’ll like (and that I like, too!).  Here are this week’s books:

bear-stays-up-for-christmasBears Stays Up for Christmas by Karma Wilson

Bear’s friends come to wake him to celebrate the Christmas holiday.  But when Bear stays up and his friends fall asleep, Bear is in for a jolly good surprise!  Share with ages 2-7.

hanukkah-bearHanukkah Bear by Eric A. Kimmel

Old Bubbe Branya is expecting the Rabbi to visit during Hanukkah and eat her famous latkes. Instead, a hungry bear wakes up early and visits her home, enjoying a Hanukkah feast.  A delight!  Share with ages: 2-8.

little-santaLittle Santa by Jon Agee

Santa is just a little kid when his family gets trapped inside their home by snowdrifts.  It’s up to Santa to rescue them!  Share with ages: 3-8.
